DIRK KUYT staked his claim for inclusion in the Netherlands' squad for Euro 2008 with the opening goal in Saturday night's 3-0 win over Ukraine.

Kuyt scored with a fine header midway through the first half before Klaas-Jan Huntelaar doubled the hosts' lead.

Another Liverpool man, Ryan Babel, rounded off the victory after the break.

A superb header by captain Niko Kovac gave Croatia a 1-0 win over Moldova in their penultimate Euro 2008 warm up in Rijeka on Saturday. The 36-year-old powered home an Ivan Rakitic corner on the half hour.
