Mount Temple will meet local side St Patrick's Classical School in the section A final of the Leinster Junior Cup after a hard-earned semi-final success in Navan yesterday.
Strong running second row John Laffey was the star of the show for the Malahide road side, going over for two tries in the first half. The first came after 15 minutes and the second just before the break came in swift response to Dundalk counterpart David Coyne's levelling try.
Prop forward Michael James kicked the conversion and those two points separated the teams at the end after Mount Temple led by 12-5 at the break.
Although De La Salle battled bravely in the second period and lively scrum half Thomas Campbell skipped through for his side's second try 10 minutes after the restart that was as close as they got.
