Bray Wanderers 1 Cork City 1:Bray Wanderers came back from the dead when a controversial penalty in the third minute of added time by substitute Paul Caffrey gave them a point against Cork City in a tense clash at the Carlisle Grounds last night.
For long periods of the second half it looked as though Neal Horgan's first goal of the season on 62 minutes would be enough to give Cork a victory. But then after Admir Softic was judged to have handled the ball in his area, a cool Caffrey made no mistake with his spot kick
Despite three defeats in a row, Bray started confidently when midfielder Alan Cawley shot narrowly wide from the left with a free kick from 25 yards.
Cork did look menacing, however, and Horgan was their hero on 62 minutes when Darragh Ryan's cross from the left was headed back across the face of goal by John O'Flynn for the defender to apply a clinical finish from close range.
Then Bray sensationally came back from the dead in the third minute of added time when Softic handled and Caffrey, on the field just five minutes, made no mistake with a clinically despatched spot kick.
