SEVEN points in the second half was enough to see All Ireland club football champions Laune Rangers through to the Munster club final at the second time of asking.
In the drawn game in Waterford on Sunday last the Kerry side failed to score in the first half and they did little better in Killarney yesterday, when they trailed Rathgormack 0-4 to 0-1 at the interval.
An early point from Rangers' half forward Paul Griffin signalled the start of a second half revival that left the Waterford champions reeling.
With the Rangers back unit closing off the options, their forward line began to pick up points, leaving the sides level 0- 4 to 0-4 after 42 minutes.
A point from John Sheehan a minute later gave the reigning champions the lead for the first time, and further scores from Pa Murphy, Ger Murphy and captain Mark O'Connor sealed victory.
On the downside for the All Ireland champions, an injury to Mike Hassett will mean that John Evans's side will line out without one of their key players in the final against Clonakilty next Sunday.
