Clare 1-13 Limerick 2-10:Limerick pulled off a sensational draw at Cusack Park, Ennis, yesterday evening. On two occasions over the hour Limerick came back from the dead to fight another day.

Trailing by 0-8 to 0-3 at the break, the visitors should have been much further behind such was Clare's dominance in the opening half.

But immediately after the interval a renewed spirit saw Limerick overturn the five-point gap in as many minutes. By the 35th minute they led by 1-6 to 0-8, thanks to a quick 1-3 with corner forward Joe Martin providing the goal.

But Clare hit 1-5 over the next quarter of an hour. Wing forward Cathal O'Connor goaled in the 44th minute and with 10 minutes remaining Clare led by 1-13 to 1-7.

Cork easily qualified for the semi-finals following a comfortable 0-20 to 0-3 victory over Waterford in Fermoy yesterday evening. They led by 0-11 to 0-1 at half-time as James O'Mahony kicked Waterford's only first-half point after 25 minutes.

Aidan Walsh and Barry O'Driscoll impressed for Cork on the resumption, though they will hardly be happy with 17 wides over the hour.
