Viztoria missed last weekend's Irish 1,000 Guineas due to illness but trainer Eddie Lynam hasn't lowered his Group One sights with a filly who could line up next in Royal Ascot's Coronation Stakes.

The Athasi Stakes winner was a late withdrawal from the classic which was won by Just The Judge, a filly Viztoria is likely to eventually meet in the Coronation.

“She’ll have an easy week but her next entry will be the Coronation,” said Lynam yesterday. “We took her out of the Guineas because she was coughing but . . . hopefully we can get her to Ascot.”

Lynam also reported Royal Ascot will be next for sprinters Sole Power and Slade Power.

If quick ground has been a rarity for flat horses, then it has been even more so for jumpers. But Punchestown’s forecast “good to firm” going can pay off for trainer Jessica Harrington this evening.

Jetson has just his fourth start over fences in the second steeplechase. But the Harrington runner thrives on a fast surface and can finally score after a trio of fine hurdles efforts at Cheltenham, Aintree and Haydock. It will be no easy task with the high-class Rathlin and Grand National stalwart Seabass also involved.

The same comment looks to apply to his stable companion Burn And Turn. And the one mare in the opening chase can oblige at a meeting where another, Norah Starr, will attract plenty of attention in the handicap hurdle.

Denis Hogan’s runner sluiced up on heavy going at Ballinrobe on Monday and if handling the surface should have a major shout of defying a 6lb penalty.

The 2012 Land Rover Bumper winner Some Article returns for the maiden hurdle but could come up short of Gowran bumper winner Indevan, who relishes quick going.
