BRITISH RACING:Marlborough is reported to be in good form ahead of his tilt at the Cheltenham Gold Cup.
On his last start the 10-year-old finished a fine third behind Bacchanal in the Aon Chase at Newbury which was his seasonal reappearance.
Barry Simpson, racing manager to Robert Ogden, confirmed that all is well according to trainer Nicky Henderson and his Cheltenham bid is on track.
He added: "He may have a racecourse gallop like some of Nicky's other horses did on Saturday.
"But the trainer reports that the horse is very well and on course for the race."
Plans for their Martell Grand National hope, Kingsmark, remain uncertain after Saturday's De Vere Gold Cup meeting at Haydock was abandoned.
Today's Catterick and Leicester meetings were abandoned after the wet weather took its toll on the tracks.
The abandonment of both fixtures means that the only racing in Britain today will be on the all-weather at Lingfield.
The wet weather had already accounted for one meeting when Newcastle were forced to abandon yesterday's meeting.
Chepstow are due to race tomorrow but they have also had some heavy rain in recent days.
