Meath 2-7 Cavan 0-12:Cavan played with 14 men for 65 minutes at Páirc Tailteann on Saturday, wing back Jonathan Crowe shown a straight red card following an off-the-ball incident.

But Cavan overcame that setback and it took goals at the end of both halves to prevent Meath suffering an embarrassing defeat.

Cavan led 0-7 to 0-2 before Brian Meade booted in the first goal on 36 minutes. And, just when it seemed that points from centre back Eamonn Reilly and substitute Jason Reilly had seen Cavan past the winning post,Brian Farrell scored the second.
