Fleisher, runner-up to Hale Irwin in last year's event, parred the final 12 holes for a four under par 68 and an level-par total of 280 with Isao Aoki and Gil Morgan tied for second place.

Aoki dropped off the lead with a bogey at the 17th when he left his approach short and then two-putted while Jim Colbert and Morgan dropped shots at the final hole.

Colbert chipped in at the 15th for birdie to take a short lived lead at one under par, but he bogeyed the 16th and double bogeyed the 18th. He finished tied with Jack Nicklaus and Alan Doyle, who birdied the 12th and 14th

Former Irish amateur champion, Arthur Pierse, finished down the field on 299 after rounds of 76, 72, 76, 75.
