DIVISION TWO A: Dublin are two points clear at the top of the table following a 1-10 to 0-9 victory over Meath at Páirc Tailteann yesterday. Kevin Flynn scored Dublin's goal.
Carlow are in third spot following a clear-cut 0-14 to 1-5 over Derry at Dr Cullen Park, Carlow. The home county finished the game with 14 men while Derry were reduced to 13 players in a one-minute period early in the second half.
Carlow led 0-6 to 0-3 at half-time and had added another point just before the first of the red cards. The sendings-off finished the game as a contest and Carlow had established a 0-14 to 0-4 lead before a Seán McBride point and an injury-time Ruairí Conway goal provided some respectability for Derry.
Roscommon lifted themselves off the foot of the table at the expense of their opponents following a 1-9 to 0-7 victory over Wicklow at Athleague.
DIVISION TWO B
An injury-time goal from John Shaw gave Westmeath a fortunate 1-11 to 0-11 win over Mayo in Castlebar yesterday. Westmeath, who had trailed throughout, were 0-11 to 0-9 behind at the end of normal time.
In Celbridge, Kildare enjoyed a 2-13 to 1-7 victory over London, despite trailing by five points at the interval.
