LEINSTER MHC: Wexford 1-19 Offaly 1-7: MICHAEL O'HANLON inspired Wexford to a handsome 12-point victory over a disappointing Offaly outfit in this Leinster minor hurling championship quarter-final at Wexford Park on Saturday.
Wexford had stormed into a 1-4 to 0-0 lead by the eighth minute, the goal coming at the end of a four-man move with O'Hanlon finishing to the net from close range. Wexford went on to dominate the opening period at the end of which they led 1-8 to 0-5.
Offaly reduced the deficit with a Thomas Bolger goal within two minutes of the restart but that was as close at they got as Wexford went on to strike a further 10 points to their opponents' two.
