Leinster MHC/ Laois 4-10 Carlow 3-11:Carlow collapsed dramatically in the second half of this Leinster MHC qualifier at Dr Cullen Park on Saturday evening, letting slip a nine-point half-time lead.
The Laois midfielder John O'Loughin, at centre back for the under-21 team that lost by a point to Cork in the recent All-Ireland final, dragged his team back into the game with a colossal contribution.
Carlow dominated playing into the wind and reached half-time 3-8 to 1-5 in front. But a Dayne Peacock goal on 36 minutes provided the momentum for Laois and when Andrew Collier goaled from a close-range free they led for the first time, 3-10 to 3-9.
