Leinster MFC Semi-finals Offaly 2-5 Dublin 0-10Offaly's minor footballers have joined their seniors in a Leinster final as a result of a narrow victory over Dublin at Portlaoise last night.
An Offaly goal in the 21st minute gave them a 1-2 to 0-3 lead, Shane Ryan getting Dublin's points. Ken Casey added an Offaly point in the 25th minute but points by Niall Coughlan and Cathal Morley left Dublin trailing 0-5 to 1-3 at half-time.
A minute into the final quarter a brilliant Offaly goal by Casey put them ahead by 2-5 to 0-7. Dublin rallied in the final quarter and points from Barry O'Rourke, Shane McCann and Coughlan narrowed the margin to a single point.
Although Offaly failed to add to their tally, they held on to qualify for their second successive final.
