Nate Diaz stunned both Conor McGregor and the guts of the UFC world with his submission win on Saturday night in Las Vegas. On just eleven days notice he soaked up the Irish fighter's punishment before taking full advantage of his own opening to end the contest in the second round.

McGregor was “humble in defeat,” as he is “humble in victory” - still though there were plenty on social media quick to jump on his disappointment. Just as were there many to congratulate him on taking the challenge of stepping up two weight divisions.
