11.30am: Golf
The build up to the men's golf competition revolved around speculation over who would and who would not turn up, with Rory McIlroy among a number of high profile withdrawals. There have been no such concerns with the women's competition however, and golf's great and good are present in Rio and ready to tee off on Wednesday. Ireland have two representatives - Leona Maguire and Stephanie Meadow - in what will be the first ever women's Olympic golf tournament. Maguire, who is the number one ranked amateur in the world, has the honour of teeing off in the first group alongside Kelly Tan of Malaysia and home favourite Miriam Nagl at 11.30am. Meadow tees off at 12.52pm, and she is playing with Malaysia's Michelle Koh and Denmark's Nanna Koerstz Madsen.
2.55pm: Athletics
