The Jordanstown 24-year-old turned professional in 2014 but over the last year badly struggled with form following the death of her father Robert from cancer and fell back in the world rankings. She came into the Rio reckoning late after Dutch Olympic officials held back their golfers as they were not ranked in the world top 100 and Meadow, in the top 60 in Olympic rankings, was selected. She has limited PGA status but has played in seven events and picked up a cheque in three.
