Paul Carberry is excited to get back in competitive action for the first time since the end of April with three booked rides at Fairyhouse on Wednesday.
Carberry has been sidelined with a shoulder injury which required surgery in July.
He will partner Ally Cascade for boss Noel Meade in the opening Premier Jump Weekend Hurdle, before getting the leg-up aboard the Gordon Elliott-trained Moonshine Lad in the Fairyhouse Membership 2014 Maiden Hurdle.
Carberry’s final ride is on Elliott’s Not For Changing in the 25 Euro Punter’s Pack Premier Jump Racing Weekend Handicap Hurdle.
“I can’t wait to get back. I don’t think I’ve ever been as excited to get back race riding again,” said the jockey.
“I knew it was going to take a long time, but I didn’t think it would be this long.
“It had to be done and I just had to mind it for a while, but I’ve been back riding out for a couple of months now, so hopefully I’m fit enough.”
