Piet Raymakers, the Dutch rider who collected the keys to three new cars in last autumn's World Cup series, one of them in Millstreet, returned to the Cork arena last night and opened his account with a win in the Waterford Crystal Jump-off.
Raymakers turned in one of only two faultless rounds against the clock with Jewels Dominard, a nine-year-old German bred, which was gelded just two months ago. There was also a Dutch flavour to Ireland's only win yesterday when Trevor Coyle took over the ride on Bollvorms Vivaldi, the Dutch mare purchased for his pupil, former European pony champion Emma Wilson, and led an Irish clean sweep in the Horseware Products Power and Speed challenge.
