National League Previews: Having "more than lived with" Drogheda in a match they came within seconds of winning, Gary Rogers wants Dublin City to carry on surprising people.

Mark Rooney's stunning strike from long range put Dublin 2-1 up right on 90 minutes at United Park on Monday night before, incredibly, Rogers's former club hit back immediately to level through captain Declan O'Brien.

"Before the game, I suppose we would have been happy with a draw, but not to have won it left us absolutely sick," said goalkeeper Rogers ahead of the visit of Longford Town to Dalymount Park tonight.

"The positive thing from it was that we probably deserved three points on the night. I'm sure we surprised people at how well we played," added Rogers, particularly in light of their previous two games against Cork and Derry which they lost by an aggregate of seven goals and had three players sent off.
