France coach Bernard Laporte will give Thomas Castaignede his first start at flyhalf for six years against Romania in Bucharest on Saturday.

The 31-year-old Saracens player has won 19 of his 50 caps at flyhalf, the last against England in the 2000 Six Nations.

Since he returned to international action in November following injury, Castaignede has been selected at fullback and centre.

He made his international debut in 1995 and was arguably the world's best flyhalf at the end of the 1990s before his career was hit by injuries.
