All Blacks legend Jonah Lomu could return to Welsh rugby after failing to land a contract with a New Zealand Super 14 team and effectively being ruled out of next year's World Cup.
Lomu has dismissed speculation linking him with a change of codes to rugby league and insists he is intent on playing out his career in union, possibly back in the Celtic League.
The 31-year-old starred for Cardiff Blues last season and refused to rule out a return, insisting on BBC Radio: "That would be a possibility.
"Everybody knows how much the Welsh love rugby but at this moment in time I am just summing up all my options and I will make a decision in the next month or so.
"Rugby league was an option, but we turned down an option just recently because we started in the professional era of rugby union so we might as well finish it as well."
