Munster 27 London Irish 13: Ronan O'Mahony ran in a second-half hat-trick for Munster as JJ Hanrahan came of the bench to rescue a grinding win against London Irish at Musgrave Park.

In front of 6,340 Hanrahan bagged his second try of the pre-season to give the home side their second win after Ian Humphreys looked likely to lead London Irish to the spoils.

But the plaudits go to flying winger O’Mahony who rounded off a super individual display with a well taken trio of scores.

Bryn Evans touched down 11 minutes after the restart to put Irish in control, but once Rob Penney emptied the bench, the extra power introduced proved crucial in taking the win as O'Mahony completed his hat-trick in the 80th minute.
