Former New Zealand Maori captain Rua Tipoki is included after making his debut against Saracens last weekend. He will partner Kieran Lewis in the centre.
The rest of the starting line-up will be announced tomorrow afternoon.
Meanwhile, Cardiff Blues coach David Young has made three changes to the team that earned a bonus point win over the Newport-Gwent Dragons a fortnight ago, ahead of Friday's meeting with Glasgow.
Fullback Nick Macleod starts at while hooker Gareth Williams and prop Rhys Gill line-up in the frontrow.
"We're not taking anything for granted against Glasgow, who I thought were one of the best teams in the Magners League last season," Young said today. "They were one of the most improved sides last year and had a big bearing on where the trophy ended up. They have a very strong home record, are well organised, well coached and a very hard team to break down."
