Will Connors has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury, Leinster have confirmed.

The backrow suffered the injury during Leinster’s recent away defeat to Cardiff. After a review during the week, it has emerged that the Ireland international will play no further part in the remainder of Leinster’s campaign.

There is good news though as Dan Leavy will be returning to training as he steps up his rehabilitation programme. He will be further assessed thi week before a decision is made on his availabilty ahead of the weekend's visit of the Lions.

Rory O’Loughlin, who was a late withdrawal from the side that beat the Ospreys due to illness, and Vakh Abdaladze, who has a neck issue, are also to be further assessed.
