Sherlock ban

Dublin forward Jason Sherlock has been given a 12week suspension by the Games Administration Committee

Dublin forward Jason Sherlock has been given a 12week suspension by the Games Administration Committee. Also suspended for three months were Galway hurler Gregory Kennedy and Armagh wing back Andrew McCann.

The suspensions apply from the dates of the respective games in which the players were dismissed. Sherlock was sent off during Dublin's home defeat against Roscommon on February 10th.

McCann's infraction occurred on the 25th of last month, meaning that Armagh will have to plan without him until the end of May, shortly before the county is due to begin the campaign for its third successive Ulster championship.

Kennedy's suspension, arises from a dismissal in the NHL game between Dublin and Galway on February 18th.
