The new captain at Skerries golf club is Brian Lee, who played football with the Dublin minors in the 1960s. Lee, who has been a Skerries member for 25 years, has a keen interest in the development of junior golf, and his son Robert Lee plays to a handicap of four.

The younger Lee was a member of the Skerries team that reached the final of the Senior Cup in 1996 and a member of the Youths team that won the Leinster title in 1998.
