FAI Cup Quarter-final replay/ Killester United 3 Sligo Rovers 4 (AET): If Sligo Rovers are to win the FAI Cup for a third in their history this season, they'll not have to work as hard as they did to end the interest of non-league side Killester at Tolka Park last night.

Paul McTiernan broke the hearts of the Dublin junior side with an extra-time winner. Killester goalkeeper Lee Murphy, who'd just made two terrific saves, fumbled a shot from Faz Kuduzovic 13 minutes into extra-time and McTiernan followed up to drill the ball home.

Killester fell behind after just 12 minutes. The goal was headed home by 19-year-old substitute John Bellew, after Killester, as they would all night, failed to defend a delivery into their area. Gavin Peers and Adam Hughes got touches to Harpal Singh's corner before the teenager forced the ball home.

Killester were deservedly level within seven minutes. Shane Dunne overlapped down the right, got the ball back from David Lacey to cross for Michael Keogh to volley to the net.

Inventive going forward, Killester's Achilles' heel was their defending and they were punished from another set-piece on 43 minutes. Singh sent over Sligo's seventh corner of the night and Hughes headed to the net.

Killester's spirit remained unbowed and they were level within six minutes of the restart.

This time Sligo's defending was questionable as goalkeeper John O'Hara failed to hold a David Sheridan header and Lacey followed up to score.

Yet again Killester failed to defend a corner, as Sligo regained the lead on 67 minutes. Peers' header cannoned off a post and the defender was there a second time to blast to the roof of the net.

Killester wouldn't lie down, and equalised yet again on 78 minutes when Keogh's 40-yard free-kick bounced once in the Sligo box to outfox O'Hara and end up in the net.
