Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc is set to have an operation on his knee after the club's Champions League destiny is decided.

The Pole, who suffered the injury to his knee on international duty last month, will play in Celtic's final group game against AC Milan tomorrow night.

But doctors will examine the goalkeeper's knee as soon as the Hoops return from Italy.

Celtic boss Gordon Strachan said: "We'll look at Artur straight after the game.

"It might be he'll come through the test with flying colours.

"But if he hasn't got any better he'll go straight into hospital for corrective surgery."
