Kevin Doyle vowed that there is more to come from him after his seventh goal of the season gave Reading the spoils at Fulham over the weekend.
The Irishman has now scored four in four games - for both Reading and the Republic of Ireland - after his winner from the penalty spot at Craven Cottage.
And he said: "You're never fully adapted and you're always learning. Personally, I haven't played my best stuff at all - and there's a lot more to come.
"Everyone is up for it and doing really well, and we hope when the second half of the season comes there isn't that initial buzz that we got at the start of the Premiership. Realistically we want to stay in the mid-table position, which would be fantastic. Anything else is a bonus, but there's a long way to go."
