Drogheda United have signed striker Eamon Zayed from Bray Wanderers for an undisclosed fee on a two-year deal.
Manager Paul Doolin has been a long-time admirer of the 22-year-old and moved quickly to secure the striker's services ahead of the European transfer deadline.
Indeed, Doolin swooped amid strong interest from other clubs, most notably St Patrick's Athletic.
Drogheda travel to Finland next week for their Uefa Cup tie against HJK Helsinki and Zayed - a former Republic of Ireland under-21 international - will be available for selection.
Moreover, the signing bolsters Drogheda's attacking options following the fractured jaw captain Declan O'Brien sustained at the weekend, an injury which is expected to rule him out for the season.
Zayed has been a prolific scorer for Wanderers and recently spent short loan spells at Crewe Alexandra and Norwegian side Aalesund FK before returning to Co. Wicklow.
