Feyenoord will appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport over Uefa's decision to exclude them from the Uefa Cup following crowd trouble at a match against Nancy earlier in the season.
Tottenham's bye into the last 16 of the competition - which was confirmed yesterday - is dependent on the outcome of the appeal.
"We want to let CAS test if the verdict of the appeal committee is correct, because we feel that Feyenood have been unjustly treated with this punishment," Feyenoord official Onno Jacobs said.
"During the appeal we will continue to prepare for the games against Tottenham, but we will also ask CAS for a swift decision."
Tottenham were due to travel to Rotterdam on February 15th and, if Feyenoord's appeal fails, they will go straight through to the next round where they will play Braga or Parma.
