Three of the 10 League of Ireland players prevented from representing their clubs this season because of registration issues have received clearance from Fifa and are available for selection with immediate effect.
Bray Wanderers' Alan Cawley, Galway United goalkeeper Gary Rogers and Shaun Holmes of Finn Harps are eligible to play this weekend although Holmes is suspended for his club's game against Cobh Ramblers.
But Cork City's former Irish internationals Gareth Farrelly and Colin Healy, Peter Hynes of Derry City, Waterford United's Ray Scully, Shelbourne pair John Brophy and Mark Leech and Willie Doyle of Monaghan United are all still unavailable for selection.
The 10 players are affected by Fifa's ruling that individuals cannot feature for more than two clubs between July 1st of one year and June 30th of the next.
An FAI delegation of Fran Gavin, Eoin Hand and legal advisor Sarah O'Shea was in Zurich during the week where Fifa said they would try facilitate a partial resolution of the problem by the weekend.
An eleven-page judgement was subsequently handed down on each of the three players cleared today and the remaining seven will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis next week, possibly on Wednesday.
Fifa judge, Slim Aloulou from Tunisia, is presiding, as he did with Javier Mascherano's much-publicised case when moving from West Ham United to Liverpool recently.
