St Patrick's Athletic have completed the signing of striker Glen Fitzpatrick from eircom Premier Division leaders Drogheda United who in turn have brought in Guy Bates from Belgian side KV Oostende to lead the line.

Newcastle native Bates has signed until the end of the domestic season while Shaun Williams' loan deal to Dundalk and Mark Leech's loan spell to Shelbourne have both been extended to the end of the season, according to Drogheda's website.

Fitzpatrick joins league contenders Pat's following a two-year stint with Drogheda after signing from Shelbourne in 2005. During his career Fitzpatrick has also played for Shamrock Rovers and UCD plus he represented the Republic of Ireland at Under-18 level.
