Premier League review:  Liverpool's awful home form continued this evening when Fulham became the latest team to frustrate the Reds at Anfield with a 1-0 victory. A much-changed home side gifted the visitors their first ever win at  the famous Merseyside stadium when captain for the night Martin Skrtel scored an early own-goal.

Kenny Dalglish made nine alterations ahead of the FA Cup final and saw his team concede in the fifth minute when Skrtel bundled over his own line following good work from Clint Dempsey and John Arne-Riise.

Liverpool almost equalised when Jonjo Shelvey's shot was stopped on the line by Brede Hangeland.

In the second half, Dempsey was superbly denied by Doni from close-range as chances were few and far between after the break.

The Reds kept pushing for an equaliser but couldn't produce a moment of quality in the final third and Fulham recorded a famous victory that leaves them level on points with eighth-placed Liverpool with two games remaining.

Liverpool's defeat also meant Evertoncould establish a five-point lead in seventh place but they were held to a draw 1-1 at Stoke.

Peter Crouch's freak own goal gave Everton a half-time at the Britannia Stadium, after Tim Cahill made minimal contact with Tony Hibbert's cross and Marc Wilson's subsequent header bounced up into the face of the sometime England striker and past keeper Asmir Begovic.

Stoke boss Tony Pulis deployed his three substitutes in one fell swoop after the break as Cameron Jerome, Ricardo Fuller and Glenn Whelan replaced Walters, Crouch and, surprisingly, Delap.

And it was Jerome who made an immediate impact as he controlled the ball on halfway, bundled his way through the defence and finished from 18 yards with the aid of a deflection off Phil Jagielka.

With neither team able to produce a winner, Everton moved three points clear of Liverpool and Fulham while Stoke move up one place to 13th.
