AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso faces a race against time to recover for next week's Champions League semi-final return leg against Manchester United.
The former Rangers star sustained a foot injury during last night's 3-2 first-leg defeat at Old Trafford.
Gattuso was forced to leave the pitch early in the second half and is doubtful for next Wednesday's second leg in Milan.
"I will do everything I can to play at the San Siro," said Gattuso.
Wayne Rooney's stoppage-time strike gave Alex Ferguson's outfit the edge in the tie but Gattuso is confident his side can still make it to the final.
"This result burns," admitted Gattuso. "We are really angry. But do not fear because in the return leg we still have a chance.
"At Old Trafford, we have proved to be a great team and we shouldn't fear Manchester. It's going to be a difficult encounter but it would have been the same had the result finished 2-2."
Brazil midfielder Kaka, whose two goals had given the Rossoneri a 2-1 half-time lead after Cristiano Ronaldo had opened the scoring for the hosts, believes Milan will have their say in a week's time.
"It is a sour defeat," admitted Kaka. "But now we hope that playing in front of our home fans will help us to reach the final.
"We have made mistakes in this game, especially in the second half, and we must correct them. Our only thoughts now are on the return leg."
