Soccer: Shay Given insists he has no plans to quit Newcastle for their Premier League rivals Tottenham.
Spurs are in the hunt for a new goalkeeper after seeing summer signing Heurelho Gomes struggle to adapt to life in the English top-flight.
With former Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp now in charge at White Hart Lane, Pompey's England international David James has been touted as a possible target.
Now Republic of Ireland keeper Given has also been mentioned, but the Magpies shot-stopper insists he has no desire to bring his 11-year stint at St James' Park to an end.
"They have spent money on a goalkeeper already so I don't think they are going to spend any more," he said.
"I'm sure that when Heurelho Gomes gets his confidence back he'll be a very, very good goalkeeper again.
"I wouldn't want to leave Newcastle anyway, I'm very happy where I'm at."
