Frank Rijkaard insists he will still be at Barcelona next season.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger had been linked with the Nou Camp after Barca relinquished the Spanish league title to Real Madrid last weekend.
But Rijkaard has received the backing of club president Joan Laporta and the Dutchman is delighted to be able to build on his four-year stay at Barca.
"I'm really excited about continuing," he said. "When you finish the season you notice the tiredness.
"It's a pity we don't have time to continue and put things right in this league - to react and show that we are a great club."
Two of the club's leading stars, Ronaldinho and Samuel Eto'o, have also been linked with moves away from Barca this summer. However, Rijkaard is keen for both forwards to remain at the club.
He said: "That is something I've always said. They're great players. They're wanted by a great many teams around the world and for good reasons. They're tremendous figures.
"I'd like to continue with them but now we also have to indicate how we have to work with them as well."
