Shamrock Rovers striker Ger Rowe has extended his contract with the Dublin club until the end of the 2009 season.
Rowe, a former Shelbourne and St Patrick's Atheltic striker, joined a year ago and has formed an impressive strike partnership with Tadhg Purcell.
The pair have scored 17 goals between them this season.
"I'm very happy that I've signed a new contract with Rovers," said the 22-year-old. "It shows that the club has faith in me and I intend to repay them as best I can.
"A lot of people are beginning to realise that Rovers is the club to play for. The hunger for success is there and it's a very exciting time to be part of this great club."
Purcell was rewarded for his strong form over the first half of the campaign with a new two-and-a-half-year deal a fortnight ago.
