Shamrock Rovers manager Pat Sculy has reconsidered his team's title ambitions following Monday's 2-0 win over city rivals Bohemians.
Scully conceded the title to leaders Drogheda a fortnight ago following a 1-0 defeat to Longford Town but now admits his side are back in the hunt.
"Sometimes things are said in public for effect," he said of his earlier comments, "but the important thing is what's said in the dressing room.
"We know what we're after and we'll do everything we can to get it. We know what we have to do to get it."
Drogheda lead Rovers by five points but crucially Paul Doolin's side must travel to Tolka Park next month in what is being billed as a potential title showdown.
"Hopefully Drogheda will crack. It would be nice if they did," added Scully. "We'll keep going. We want to push it as far as we can."
