National League Premier Division: Shelbourne 6 UCD 0: Shelbourne's impressive run continued tonight as they made it seven league wins in a row with victory over UCD at Tolka Park.
Shels were out to show that Monday's night's 5-1 thrashing of Drogheda United was no fluke and proved this by going ahead early in the first half when Glen Crowe got on the end of a cross from Bobby Ryan to score in the 12th minute.
Jason Byrne made it 2-0 to Shelbourne shortly after the second half started while Joseph Ndo ensured the points were secure when he struck home in the 54th minute.
However, Shels weren't finished there with Ollie Cahill also getting his name on the scoresheet 18 minutes from the final whistle.
UCD tried to get back into the game by introducing Cawley and Finn in place of Hurley and McWalter but to little avail.
Crowe got his second of the game in the 79th minute while Cahill did likewise by hitting home in the 82nd minute.
In tonight's first division games, Kildare County beat Limerick 2-1 with Cooling scoring a brace for Kildare while Galway United overcame Monaghan United to win 1-0 thanks to a 6th minute goal from Murphy.
