Shelbourne have been granted until the end of the month to comply with two of the conditions attached to its first division license.

At a meeting of the FAI's Club Licensing Appeals Committee this morning the club, relegated from the top flight last month due to their financial difficulties, were given until March 30th to pay off debts to the Revenue Commissioners and former employees. The original deadline for these payments was last Monday.

The club will also have their accounts audited by the authorities at the end of March.

A statement released by Shelbourne this evening expressed gratitude to the league for extending the deadline.

It read: "The board of management would like to thank the Club Licensing Appeals Committee for the courtesy shown to us this morning and look forward to fulfilling the amended conditions as laid down by their decision."
