National League Premier Division/Shelbourne 5 Waterford United 1:There were goals a plenty at Tolka Park tonight as Shelbourne's lucky streak continued with a decisive win over Waterford United.

Shelbourne made it six continuous league wins in a row with victory over Waterford United and victory tonight saw them go top of the table on goal difference, with a game in hand over Cork and Drogheda.

Shels lined up with the same started eleven that beat Dublin City 2-1 last Friday, while Waterford were without new signing, former Everton striker Paul Hopkins and Alan Reynolds, who recently returned from a spell Shelbourne but was unable to start because of a 'no play' clause in his contract.

Bobby Ryan put Shels ahead during stoppage time at the end of the first half with a shot from the edge of the penalty area, while Colin Hawkins looked to have secured the points with a second in the 60th minute. However, Waterford were quick to reply with Mitchell Casey scraping a goal back a minute later.
