Chris Deans, the former Dundalk defender, has joined Premier Division side Waterford United.
Although Deans spent last season at Oriel Park, he first played for Dublin City in 2004 after returning home from spells with Coventry City and Derby County.
"Despite his relatively young age, Chris has loads of experience," new Waterford manager Mike Kerley said today.
"I am happy that he has decided to come to Waterford. He is a versatile defender who is comfortable anywhere across the back and I have no doubt he will be an excellent addition to the squad."
Deans’s arrival follows last week’s news that John Hayes, Kenny Browne, Paul McCarthy and Stephen Grant all signed new contracts with the club.
