Champions League team news: Arsenal welcome back William Gallas and Abou Diaby for tomorrow's Champions League trip to Porto, but will rest captain Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri.

As the Gunners have already qualified — and with one eye on Saturday's Premier League clash at Middlesbrough — full-backs Bacary Sagna, Gael Clichy, strikers Emmanuel Adebayor, Robin van Persie and Kolo Toure are also staying in London.

Youngsters Aaron Ramsey, Kieran Gibbs, Gavin Hoyte, Mark Randall, Fran Merida, Jack Wilshere and Jay Simpson all make the travelling squad, which also includes midfielder Emmanuel Eboue — who was jeered off in Saturday's home game against Wigan.

And Cristiano Ronaldo seems certain to miss Manchester United's encounter with Aalborg.

Ronaldo injured a hip in Saturday's win over Sunderland but although he has been able to train, Alex Ferguson feels it would be better to let the Ballon D'Or winner have further treatment ahead of the weekend visit to Tottenham.

Michael Carrick is also out with what Ferguson vaguely hinted was a minor knock, although the England international should also be fit to face his former club at White Hart Lane. Gary Neville and Ben Foster are set to start tomorrow, while Paul Scholes is expected to be on the bench.

Celtic manager Gordon Strachan has confirmed Artur Boruc will keep his place for tomorrow's home tie with Villarreal.

The Hoops goalkeeper was beaten by a 45-yard strike from John Rankin in Sunday's 2-0 defeat at Hibernian but Strachan will ignore calls from numerous pundits and ex-Celtic players to drop the former Legia Warsaw player

Defender Lee Naylor is out with a virus, while midfielder Barry Robson is still struggling with a thigh knock.
