McKenna Cup Section A / Tyrone 2-11 Antrim 1-2: Tyrone's conveyor belt of talent was plainly evident at Casement Park as they swept aside the challenge of Antrim in a dull game yesterday.
Tyrone had just eight of their All-Ireland final starting team playing. They also lost Stephen O'Neill with an injury after six minutes but the players on show were equal to the task.
Certainly up for the challenge was Omagh Town skipper Colm McCullough. The 26-year-old Dromore man scored two goals and three points and may soon have to choose between soccer and Gaelic football.
Antrim trailed by 0-5 to 0-1 at the break and it would have been a lot more as Tyrone hit 10 wides in the opening 35 minutes.
Within five minutes of the restart McCullough had rifled over a point and cracked in a goal. Ger Cavlan added a point from a free-kick and Michael Coleman scored another.
Darren O'Hare did find the Tyrone net on 59 minutes but it was only a consolation as McCullough scrambled the ball into the home net, after a defensive blunder, two minutes from full time.
