Munster SHC Round One/Toomevara 3-16 Ballyduff 3-7: Tipperary champions Toomevara put Kerry counterparts Ballyduff to the sword in the opening half of this contest played in glorious weather yesterday afternoon.
Ballyduff were blown away in the opening 12 minutes when Toomevara were quicker to the breaks and showing slicker stick work, and with Frances Devaney and Ken Dunne ruling the roost, fired over points from varying angles.
The game was ended as a contest in a two-minute spell just before half-time when Ballyduff had a chance of a tap over free from Bobby O'Sullivan, but he opted to play it short and when Toomevara intercepted, play swung to the other end of the pitch where Willie Ryan blasted the ball past John O'Carroll to the Ballyduff net and within a minute David Kennedy and Kevin Cummins set up Ryan for a second to make it 2-11 to 0-3 at the interval.
