Newbury preview: Tournedos can foil Richard Hannon's attempt at a third successive victory in the Weatherbys Super Sprint at Newbury today.
Hannon fields four runners in the five-furlong race and looks sure to have a say in the destination of the prize money.
But the Mick Channon-trained Tournedos, a course and distance winner on his debut in April, looks the one to be on.
The son of Rossini will be having his fourth start after finishing runner-up on his other two runs. He was slightly disappointing behind Bolton Hall at Beverley, but more than made up for it by running a cracker in the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Tournedos was beaten half-a-length by Chateau Istana, just being run out of it after holding every chance.
His draw in stall two has done him no favours, but there should be enough pace on that side and Tournedos must have every chance.
