BOXING: The German-based Turk Burhan Aykuk has been named as Irish middleweight Andy Lee's new opponent for April 22nd.
Limerick man Lee had been pencilled in to meet Tyrone Brown of the US on the undercard to the Wladimir Klitschko/Chris Byrd IBO heavyweight clash in Mannheim, Germany.
Brown, however, has been pulled out of the fight and Aykuk has been named as a replacement for Lee's second pro fight.
Lee, who convincingly won his first fight in Detroit last month, is training in Spain with Klitschko under coach Emanuel Steward and will depart for Germany on Monday next.
He said: "Aykuk has won his first three fights and I am expecting a tough six rounds. However, my training is going very well here in Spain and I couldn't be better prepared."
