TYRONE:Ryan Mellon could be ruled out of Tyrone's Ulster senior football championship semi-final against Donegal on June 15th after being sent off in a club game last night.
Mellon received a straight red card in first-half stoppage time in Moy's senior football championship clash with Kildress.
MUNSTER IHC:Mark Flaherty pointed Clare to a surprise 0-12 to 1-6 win over holders Cork in the Munster intermediate hurling championship at Thurles yesterday.
Flaherty scored eight points - six from frees - and his accuracy was the deciding factor in a poor game redeemed only by the closeness of the scoring.
Clare started slowly but soon settled and, with Flaherty leading the way, led by 0-6 to 0-3 at the interval.
Seán O'Sullivan scored a goal for Cork eight minutes into the second half to level and then put them ahead with a point one minute later. A Cork win seemed likely, but Clare held heir nerve and scored five points to Cork's one in the last 20 minutes to claim their place in the semi-final against Waterford.
While Flaherty was Clare's scoring hero, they also had key performances from Ken Kennedy, Bobby McPhillips, Damian Kennedy, Cathal Lafferty and Conor McMahon.
SCORERS - Clare: M Flaherty 0-8; C Lafferty, A Fleming, C McMahon, P Keyes 0-1 each; Cork: S O'Sullivan 1-1; L Desmond 0-2; J Horgan, S Halbert, T Murray 0-1 each.
