Waterford United  1 UCD 3:Waterford United's five-game unbeaten run ground to a halt at the RSC last night when UCD came from behind to take full points.

Two of the visitors' goals followed penalty decisions by referee Neil Doyle and the official further incurred the wrath of the home crowd when he disallowed a Shane Harte "goal" for a foul on goalkeeper Matt Greg.

Waterford opened the scoring on 11 minutes when Paul McCarthy recorded his first goal for the club since signing two seasons ago. Pat Flynn began the move with a run down the right and released the ball to Harte who directed it into the path of McCarthy on the edge of the area.

Stung into action, UCD piled on the pressure and Paul Byrne equalised from a penalty on 36 minutes after Kenny Browne took down Shane McFaul.
